Florida Partial Veterans Exemptions — TWO programs. (1) Under FS 196.24, veterans with 10%+ service-connected disability receive an additional $5,000 reduction in homestead assessed value (on top of standard homestead exemption). (2) Under FS 196.082, veterans age 65+ with COMBAT-RELATED service-connected disability receive a percentage discount on homestead taxes equal to their VA disability rating (e.g., 70% combat-related = 70% off the property tax bill). Both require Florida residency and homestead status. Apply at county property appraiser by March 1.

Florida Total Property Tax Exemption (FS 196.081) — full exemption from ALL ad valorem property taxes on the homestead for veterans honorably discharged with a service-connected total and PERMANENT disability. NO cap on home value, NO income test. Veteran must be a permanent Florida resident. Surviving unremarried spouse may continue the exemption for life and may transfer it to a new homestead. Apply at the county property appraiser by March 1 with VA letter certifying 100% P&T.

Florida State Parks Military Entrance Pass — FREE LIFETIME pass to all 175 Florida State Parks for honorably discharged veterans with ANY service-connected disability rating (1%+, not just 100%). Pass admits up to 8 people at most locations. Veterans without service-connected disability get 25% off annual pass; FL residents who are 100% disabled OR age 65+ get 50% off camping fees. Pass must be obtained IN PERSON at any state park with VA disability documentation and DD-214.
